Foot odor is something that can embarrass you if you take your shoes off in front of another person, but if you don’t take off your shoes you can be somewhat calm. But, what happens if an unexpected visitor comes home and you have the smell impregnated in every corner? Foot odor is unpleasant and that is why it is important that you take into account some remedies so that your house smells good and your feet are well cared for.

Eliminate foot odor at home

  • Baking soda. Baking soda is a powerful odor absorber that can help get rid of foot and shoe odor. You will have to put some baking soda on your bare feet and smelly shoes. Do it every day whenever you get home and so if you have an unexpected visitor it won’t smell so bad.
  • Beware of air fresheners. Air fresheners are fine as a remedy for foot odor, as long as the foot odor has been mostly eliminated. If you mix air freshener with your foot odor, the mix can be horrible.
  • Open the windows and take out your shoes. If the house smells too bad to feet, an easy and quick remedy is to open the windows and take the shoes outside to air out. In this way the air will be renewed and will not smell so much pestilence.
  • Foot powders. When the house smells bad it is because your feet smell worse, so if you want the house to smell better you will have to get your feet to stop smelling bad. Wash your feet daily – whenever you take your shoes off – and then apply special powders for foot odor that you can find in any pharmacy.
  • Incense. Incense can become your great remedy so that foot odor is camouflaged at times of unexpected visits. As soon as they knock on the door, go get the incense and put it in various places in the house, so it won’t smell bad.
